Padding adds space around a photo instead of cutting into it. It’s useful when supplier images arrive in different shapes and you want a consistent product grid.
Does it remove backgrounds?
No. This tool adds white padding around your existing photo. Backgrounds inside the original remain unchanged. Transparent areas are filled with white on export.
Will a 2048 px export make my photo sharper?
No. A larger canvas doesn’t add detail. Small images stay at their original size unless you enable enlargement. The preview shows the resulting white space before you download.
What files can I use?
Still JPG, PNG and WebP images, up to 20 MB and 25 megapixels each. Animated images, HEIC, SVG, GIF and PDFs aren’t supported. Export HEIC photos as JPG first.
Will the color and metadata stay exactly the same?
Browsers decode and re-encode each image. Color handling can vary, and original metadata isn’t copied. Keep your originals for archival or print work. This isn’t a dedicated metadata-removal tool.
